We are searching for a collaborative and data-driven Digital UX/CX Lead to join our Brand Team based in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

About the Opportunity
You will be responsible for designing and improving digital experiences across web, mobile, and related digital platforms to improve satisfaction, increase usability and accessibility, and drive engagement and conversions. Reporting to the Director, Brand Experience, the Digital UX/CX Lead will contribute to a strategic digital transformation project impacting customers and team members across the organization in Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, and Ontario. Key Responsibilities Include:
- Lead and be the primary liaison with external agency partners (when required) on major website IA restructuring and design projects.
- Create and publish new pages, sections (including sub-domains and microsites).
- Oversee annual content and digital UX, working with subject matter experts to identify and manage the implementation of recommendations.
- Provides digital UX/CX recommendations and expertise to internal teams and clients across the organization within a digital ecosystem that supports 10 brands on seven websites (Wordpress), internal resident and family portal, and a growing number of new technologies.
- Develop, manage and update a Digital CX/UX Continuous Improvement plan that identifies pain points across digital platforms.
- Ensure digital continuous improvement initiatives are informed by data (including A/B testing, analytics).
- Conduct user research and translate findings into actionable recommendations (usability testing, surveys, 1:1 interviews).
- Design user flows, recommend page layouts and work with Creative Services professionals and external agency partners to develop prototypes (bonus points if you use Figma, Sketch or Adobe XD).
- Collaborate with marketing, content, recruitment and systems teams to ensure user-centric design implementation, being an advocate for accessibility, usability, and responsive design best practices.
- Monitor trends and best practices in digital UX/CX to inform strategy.
- Work with colleagues to identify KPIs and conversion events that support service excellence and UX/CX objectives. Measure, analyze and report on digital continuous improvement efforts to brand and leadership teams across the organization.
About You
In addition to placing high value on continuous improvement, collaboration and accountability, you bring:
- 5+ years’ experience in UX/CX design or digital customer experience role; experience with large-scale digital transformation projects considered an asset.
- Education and/or Work Experience in Human-Centred Design, User Experience Design, Wayfinding, Psychology, Marketing or a related field.
- Knowledge of Web Content Accessibility Guidelines an asset.
- Basic Search Engine Optimization concepts and application.
- Experience with email marketing, marketing automation preferred.
- Superior skills in Google Analytics or other analytics platforms, CMS platforms (e.g. Wordpress), and Automation Engagement software (e.g. Simplycast) is preferred.
- Excellent communication (including plain language content writing) and collaboration skills.
- A passion for the healthcare sector and/or ensuring seniors have access to quality accommodations, services and care.
