Flynn Group of Companies is currently looking for an Estimator to support our Vancouver Branch located in Surrey, BC (Office Location - 19175 - 22nd Avenue, Surrey BC V3Z 3S6), reporting to the Chief Estimator.

A Day In The Life

• Complete take-offs/estimate or assigned projects
• Follow up on multi-scope or single-scope projects
• Attend pre-bid & post-bid meetings
• Complete work orders & prepare material order sheets
• Develop and maintain relationships with customers and suppliers
• Negotiating contract price/award price with clients
• Participate in initial handoff meetings, production meetings and project autopsies.
• Visit job sites
• Consult, communicate, and build rapport with internal departments

What We Are Seeking

• 3 to 5 years’ Estimating work experience; experience in the Building Envelope (Glazing, Metals/Roofing) industry is an asset.
• Architectural Technology Diploma, Estimating Certificate, education in a related field or equivalent work experience
• Ability to read and understand drawings and specifications
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work in a fast paced team environment
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask
• General Building Envelope knowledge
• Sales skills
• Background in Building Science
• Basics of AutoCAD
