About this Opportunity

The Fox Creek based Warehouse Technician role is responsible for managing inventory, shipping and receiving materials, and maintaining the yard and warehouse. The role requires strict adherence to safety protocols and effective utilization of Maximo for inventory control. The Warehouse Technician will thrive in a high-paced, action-oriented environment, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and accurately.

Job functions will involve:

  • Works to exceed the high-level goals and objectives of the organization. Continuously drives innovation and performance improvement.

  • Adheres to Paramount’s established policies, practices and processes specifically Paramount Operational Excellence Management System Element 9 Goods, Materials, & Contractor / 3rd Party Management.

  • Represents Paramount with professionalism when communicating with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Work closely with other departments to ensure that materials and equipment are available when needed.

  • Follow ABSA requirements for Materials Management

  • Able to operate Forklift for position responsibilities

  • Manage inventory in Maximo – maintain stock levels, enter new material, material transfers. Manage cycle counts and reconciliation processes to further improve inventory accuracy and reduce discrepancies. Manage and record surplus equipment to ensure proper re-utilization and disposal.

  • Material shipping receiving and inspection: Perform the receipt and inspection of all materials delivered to the site to ensure they are free from damage.

  • Procurement of materials as required by Maximo Requisition form or Maximo work order.

  • Cleaning and organizing of warehouse office and yard.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Good working knowledge of all Microsoft programs

  • Experience with Maximo or other CMMS system required, specifically Purchase Requests, Purchase Orders, Item Masters, Inventory Usage and Material Transfers

  • A self-managed individual with excellent time management, prioritization and organizational skills; able to execute simultaneous initiatives with a commitment to agreed-upon timelines.

  • Serves as a contributor to the development of new ideas and solutions; while keeping an open mind toward other’s suggestions.

  • Resourceful, decisive, uses effective communication skills (verbal, written, listening and facilitation), and takes responsibility for own actions.

  • Forklift ticket considered an asset

  • Loader ticket considered an asset

  • Valid class 5 driver’s license and safety tickets as required

Job Location: Successful candidate will reside within 100 km of Fox Creek, AB

Job Schedule: Nine-hour workdays. Monday – Friday 1st week and Monday -Thursday 2nd week.
