About This Opportunity This six-month secondment as Service Manager for Public Spaces offers a critical leadership role within Cumberland Council, responsible for delivering statutory services including street cleansing and environmental enforcement. The post is pivotal in upholding consistently high standards of street cleaning across the area, ensuring compliance with legal obligations, protecting the Council�s reputation, and enhancing both the local environment and residents' quality of life. It is also central to driving the Council�s transformation agenda, harmonising legacy structures, improving operational efficiency, and leading cultural change across a dispersed workforce. This is a strategic and established role, vital for ensuring continuity and resilience during a period of significant organisational change.
