As a Data Analytics Specialist , you’ll be a key player in transforming how utilities plan, operate, and innovate. - Automate with Impact: Build and refine Python, R, and SQL scripts that streamline data workflows and unlock efficiency across the Asset Strategy & Operations (ASO) division.
- Deploy Game-Changing Tools: Lead the rollout of next-gen platforms like Integrated Network Management (INM), Automated Interconnections, and System-Wide Dynamic Maps—tools that are revolutionizing utility operations.
- Ensure Data Excellence: Own the integrity of utility data through rigorous validation, testing, and automation protocols.
- Visualize What Matters: Create intuitive dashboards, geo-spatial maps, and reports that turn complex data into actionable insights for decision-makers.
- Lead Cross-Functional Innovation: Collaborate with engineers, planners, and strategists to bring clarity and structure to technical initiatives.
- Champion Continuous Improvement: Develop scalable frameworks and best practices that elevate how data supports grid intelligence.
🎯 What You Bring to the Table
- A degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or Engineering (Electrical preferred).
- Advanced skills in Python, R, SQL , and experience with Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx , or similar platforms.
- Familiarity with utility systems like INM, GIS, DMS, ADMS, SCADA , and how they support planning and operations.
- A strong foundation in data architecture , system mapping, and the ability to translate technical concepts for diverse stakeholders.
- Experience or interest in electrical distribution systems and how data drives their evolution.
- Knowledge of the Ontario utility landscape is a bonus.
- A curious, agile mindset with a passion for building smarter, more sustainable solutions.
