Position Overview
We are looking for an enthusiastic, responsible, and dog-loving individual to join our team as a Dog Daycare Attendant & Front Desk Receptionist. This hybrid role requires someone who can multitask between handling dogs in our play areas and providing top-notch customer service at the front desk.
Key ResponsibilitiesDog Daycare Attendant Duties:
- Supervise and interact with dogs in group play settings, ensuring safety and positive behavior.
- Monitor dogs for signs of stress, illness, or aggression and intervene as needed.
- Clean and sanitize play areas, kennels, and facility equipment to maintain a safe and hygienic environment.
- Assist with feeding and administering medications as instructed.
- Engage dogs in enrichment activities and playtime.
- Take dogs on walks, ensuring they get their exercise and mental stimulation in a safe, controlled environment.
Front Desk & Customer Service Duties:
- Greet pet parents and assist with check-ins, check-outs, and inquiries.
- Answer phone calls and emails, providing information about services, pricing, and policies.
- Schedule appointments for daycare, boarding, and grooming.
- Process payments and maintain accurate client records.
- Upsell services like grooming, extended daycare hours, and packages to customers based on needs and preferences.
- Communicate with pet parents about their dog’s stay, behavior, and any concerns.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Passion for working with dogs and ensuring their well-being.
- Strong communication and customer service skills, with a background in sales or retail preferred.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfort handling dogs of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments.
- Previous experience in dog walking is a plus.
- Previous experience in a pet care facility, vet clinic, or customer service role is a plus.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and be on your feet for extended periods.
