The Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (FASS), the largest faculty at Simon Fraser University, is home to 28 Departments and Programs. Within the Office of the Dean, the Administrative Support team provides administrative support to the leadership team in the Dean's Office on a range of activities including internal and external events.
About the Role
The Events and Executive Coordinator is the main organizer and planner for events for the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, Office of the Dean and provides a range of confidential administrative, operations and project support to the senior leadership team. This temporary position is part time with hours scheduled over 4 days per week and 100% in-office on the Burnaby campus.
As the ideal candidate, you will have exceptional administrative, analytical, organizational and events planning and project management skills. You thrive in a fast paced, high volume working environment and can balance dynamic priorities. You pay attention to detail and think laterally to help you identify potential problems and resolve issues effectively. You value the importance of building strong relations with internal and external connections, demonstrated by your effectiveness in communication.
