We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Inventory Team. This is a great opportunity to work in a dynamic environment and contribute to a company with a strong reputation in the steel industry.

What We’re Looking For:
We are seeking a well-organized, detail-focused individual with strong computer skills and excellent verbal and written communication abilities. The ideal candidate will demonstrate initiative, professionalism, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Purpose of this Position:
To ensure proper inventory data is updated in our system in a timely and accurate manner for all branches.

Primary Responsibilities:
The Data Entry Clerk plays a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely data management for all incoming materials. Key responsibilities include:

  • Accurate Data Entry: Input and prepare all receiving documentation for materials delivered to all company locations.
  • Inventory Management: Update systems to reflect accurate inventory levels across all branches.
  • Compliance & Reporting: Ensure adherence to Varsteel Ltd. policies and procedures, complete daily batches, resolve outstanding requirements, and maintain monthly receiving reports.
  • Issue Resolution: Address inquiries from branches and the corporate office regarding receiving questions.
  • General Support: Perform other related duties as assigned to support department operations.

Knowledge and Skills:
The ideal candidate will possess and develop the following:

  • Technical Proficiency: Ability to quickly learn and utilize various software programs and tools specific to the receiving department.
  • Foundational Knowledge: Understanding of basic accounting concepts.
  • Quality Focus: Commitment to producing high-quality, detail-oriented work.
  • Confidentiality: Uphold strict confidentiality regarding Varsteel Ltd.'s financial transactions.
  • Work Ethic: Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively to meet deadlines.
  • Organizational Skills: Proficiency in prioritizing tasks to manage varying workloads.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Professionalism: Consistently maintain a professional and courteous demeanor.
