Technical Field Advisor (Millwright)
About the role
Job Title: Technical Field Advisor(Millwright) - Grimsby, ON
Reporting to the Parts & Service Manager, the Technical Field Advisor (TFA) shall provide support in all areas pertaining to field installation, inspections, repairs/troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance.
Responsibilities:
- Provide expert guidance and support for technical issues, ensuring timely resolution and minimizing downtime
- Conduct on-site evaluations to analyze systems, equipment, and processes, identifying areas for improvement or troubleshooting.
- Install, align, dismantle and move stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment, such as pumps, fans, tanks, conveyors, furnaces and generators according to layout plans using hand and power tools
- Inspect and examine machinery and equipment to detect and investigate irregularities and malfunctions
- Adjust machinery and repair or replace defective parts
- Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on machinery.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to travel 75% of the year
- A valid passport and the ability to travel without restrictions is required.
- Carry a class G or higher drivers license with the ability to provide a Valid clear driver's abstract within thirty (30) days of hire date
- Role requires flexibility for emergency breakdowns or late scheduling changes occur.
- Ability to read blueprints, diagrams and schematic drawings to determine work procedures
Education and Experience:
- Relevant certification such as 433A is an asset/or strong background in machine assembly will be considered as equivalent.
- Experience in PLC, Hydraulics and Pneumatics an asset.
