We are People Insights & Technology (PI&T), part of the People & Culture (P&C) organization. Our vision is to unleash exponential people & business impact through data driven decisions, surfacing actionable insights and embracing people-centric technology.
As part of the People Insights Area of Practice (AoP), we work as one team to unlock the full potential of our people data and technology, informing Roche decisions through research-based insights.
Your opportunity
In this role, you perform applied research and uncover data insights to better understand, attract, hire, engage and retain the people that make Roche a great company and employer. You lead projects to enhance People Insights with research methods and scientific evidence, leveraging experimental designs, and various measurement techniques to enable evidence-based decision making and its strategic applications in practical business settings.
Research Methods
- Design sophisticated research methodologies tailored to address complex business questions, seamlessly integrating academic rigor with practical business applications
- For example, lead the design and implementation of experiments and designs targeted surveys with validated item scales to measure critical aspects of the employee experience.
Critical Thinking & Problem Solving
- Identify relevant problems in exchange with P&C stakeholders, ideate ideas on how to address these with evidence-based methods and define targeted research projects.
- Lead research projects end to end from design to implementation and communication of insights to stakeholders
Consultation
- Articulate complex ideas clearly, utilizing diverse communication channels and presentation techniques to effectively engage the audience.
- Act as a thought partner and demonstrates strong problem-solving skills by thoroughly analyzing challenges, considering various solutions, and proactively anticipating potential obstacles before making informed decisions
Specific Responsibilities & Scope
- You identify, scope and lead research projects
- You serve as a subject matter expert on psychometrics, research methodology, and organizational science across P&C
Who you are
We are seeking an individual with 5 years of related experience in the People Analytics area with a PhD in a field focusing on people research in organizations (e.g., I/O Psychology, HR Management, Organizational Behavior) including
- Strong experience conducting scientific research in applied settings and/or people analytics
- Broad knowledge about scientific evidence regarding People & Culture related topics
- Demonstrated ability to apply scientific research towards practical applications in a business context
- Ability to adaptively communicate scientific findings to stakeholders so they are easily understood
- Strong experience applying survey methodology in a practical business context, balancing the needs for both scientific rigor and pragmatism
- Experience working with human-centered data, such as demographics, psychographics, and behavior
- Experience in statistical programming (e.g., R, Python)
