About the role

The Global Performance Management is responsible for deploying, managing and maintaining finance Planning and Forecast solutions within Scotiabank catering to various business lines and enterprise finance functions.

As a Software engineer you will be responsible for developing and supporting planning and forecasting applications for our global finance team along with integrations with other finance technology solutions.

In this role you will:

  • Work with Sr. Management/Director of the team to drive strategy to transform and modernize our platforms using new technologies and tools available that best support the business needs and growth.
  • Participant in the design, development and implementation of effective and quality solutions that resolve highly complex business problems and support business needs.
  • Be flexible and thrive in an evolving environment
  • Have broad and technical knowledge on Oracle FDMEE, ESSBASE and Hyperion Planning, FR Reporting

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role?

  • Have broad and deep technical knowledge of range of Oracle Products: Oracle DB, Hyperion Planning (On-Prem), Essbase and FDMEE

  • 5+ years of strong development experience in Essbase and Hyperion Planning, and FDMEE.

  • 4+ years in Oracle DB experience.

  • 4+ years in Python scripting

  • Hyperion Planning Cloud Experience good to have

  • Anaplan experience good to have

  • Experience working with agile methodology is a benefit

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Self-directed - works effectively in a team environment
