Job Overview
We are seeking both entry level and experienced Laser Operators with mechanical aptitude looking to learn some skills and to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude and experience with laser cutting technologies. As a Laser Operator, you will be responsible for operating laser cutting machines, ensuring quality standards are met, and maintaining equipment functionality. This role requires a commitment to safety and precision in all tasks.
Responsibilities
- Operate laser cutting machines to produce high-quality parts according to specifications.
- Perform programming of CNC laser cutting equipment as needed.
- Conduct quality inspections of finished products using calipers and other measuring tools to ensure adherence to specifications
- Maintain equipment by performing regular inspections, cleaning, and minor repairs to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and improve production processes.
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines while operating machinery and handling materials.
- Document production data and maintain accurate records of work performed.
Qualifications
- Preferred experience as a Laser Operator or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate various machinery
- Familiarity with quality inspection processes and tools such as calipers.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to production tasks.
- Ability to operate cranes safely for material handling purposes is preferred but not required.
- Ability to operate a forklift (training available)
- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong work aptitude and hands on coordination skills
