About the role
As an À la Carte Server in Cabin, you will be the primary point of contact for guests dining in our restaurant. Your role is essential in creating a memorable dining experience by delivering exceptional customer service, presenting our menu with enthusiasm and knowledge, and ensuring a seamless flow of service from seating to table clearing.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and professionally upon arrival
- Provide attentive and friendly service throughout the dining experience
- Present and describe menu items, daily specials, and beverage offerings with confidence and detailed knowledge
- Accurately take and relay food and beverage orders
- Deliver food and drinks promptly from kitchen and bar to guests
- Clear and reset tables efficiently between guests
- Maintain cleanliness and readiness of the dining area throughout the shift
- Handle guest feedback courteously and efficiently, resolving issues when possible
- Memorize menu items, wine list, and promotions
- Assist with table setup and closing tasks
Skills & Qualifications
· Strong customer service skills with a warm, professional demeanor
· Knowledge of food and wine pairings and fine dining standards
· Proficiency with point-of-sale (POS) systems
· Ability to multitask in a high-paced environment
· Effective problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills
· Basic math skills (addition and subtraction)
· Quick learner with a positive attitude
· Basic administrative skills (scheduling, filing)
Physical Requirements
· Ability to work flexible and extended hours, including evenings and weekends
· Able to lift up to 40 lbs occasionally and 10 lbs frequently
· Capable of standing and walking for the entirety of a shift
Experience & Certifications
· Minimum of 2 year serving experience in a in a fine dining setting.
· Smart Serve Certificate (required)
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: $17.20 per hour
