Job summary:
The Procurement Manager provides purchasing and logistics support to management and staff. The Purchasing Manager is responsible for ensuring that purchases are made in a cost-effective manner, aligning with the Green Beaver business objectives and values.
Key Responsibilities:
• Monitor inventory levels and stock levels.
• Place purchase orders with suppliers, confirm delivery timelines and execute follow ups.
• Source and negotiate with new and existing suppliers to obtain best pricing and terms.
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and delivery information.
• Coordinate with receiving and warehouse staff to ensure timely receipt of goods.
• Resolve any discrepancies or issues related to orders, deliveries, or product quality.
• Regularly review supplier performance and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Utilize ERP Sage systems to manage purchasing processes, track inventory, and generate reports.
• Ensure ERP Sage data is accurate and up to date for item costs, lead times, and supplier information.
• Help with year-end inventory count.
• Assist operation and logistics with various tasks as required.
Qualifications:
• Previous experience in purchasing, supply chain, or inventory control (2+ years required).
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• High attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Post-secondary education in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field is an asset.
