About the role
Racing Forensics is hiring Veterinary Technicians for equine venipuncture at various racetrack on Ontario for the 2025 season.
Woodbine Racetrack
Shifts on Thursdays start at 12:15 and 4:00pm while shifts on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays start at 8:30 am and 12:10pm.
Training will be provided. Excellent compensation.
Duties
- Collect blood samples from horses and/or administer IV medication
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Ensure chain-of-custody of samples
- Complete official documentation and records
Skills/Experience
- Registered Veterinary Technician
- Experience working with horses
- Equine phlebotomy an asset
- Proficient in phlebotomy
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Contract length: 6 months
Pay: $27.00 per hour
Schedule:
- Day shift
- Morning shift
- Night shift
- Weekends as needed
Education:
- DCS / DEC (preferred)
Experience:
- Veterinary Technician: 1 year (preferred)
- Horse: 2 years (required)
Work Location: In person
