Key Objective:
Helly Hansen seeks to strengthen the sales support and management of the Canadian Sport business. The Sales Operations Manager is a position within the organization with the main aspiration to strengthen Canada’s sales management across the Sport businesses by providing relevant information (tools) & value-added analysis & decision support. The position will be located in the HH Richmond office and will report to the Canadian General Manager. The candidate will work in close cooperation with the GM and the Sport Sales Director.

Location: Hybrid in Office (3 days per week in office); Richmond BC.

Salary: $70,000 - $90,000 DOE

Key Responsibilities:

  • Long-term business value creation, planning and strategic alignments

  • Supporting business in tools, analysis and templates according to company guidelines so long-term and seasonal work also supports key account business

  • Analysis of risk, profitability measurements, target setting and reporting

  • Analysis of all proposed and existing vendor agreements

  • Sales and profitability analysis and Go To Market Planning

  • Forecasts (quantities and margin) by channel/market/category

  • Seasonal target setting and review, including key accounts and customer profitability

  • Seasonal line plan development and maintenance in accordance with sales and GM objectives

  • Canadian wholesale territory forecast management and end of season analysis

  • Season end GTM scorecard and sell through & risk assessment

  • Support for KA sell through analysis and recommendations

  • Monthly aggregated and detailed reporting with recommendations of actions to take per account

  • Season post mortems - learnings and actions

  • Inventory Management and seasonal forecast management (Anaplan); Bulk management and seasonal EPR cadence

  • Participation in Sport buy meetings to ensure alignment between purchasing and revenue, fulfilment and inventory objectives

  • Monthly clearance goals and action plans to ensure zero stock older than 1year secure correct seasonal inventory availability in B2B and key seasonal ASAP styles

  • Order book management and measurements of seasonal delivery

  • Ensure Order deadline and associated Delivery Date compliance

  • Assemble and distribute seasonal sales tools

  • Order confirmations delivered in a timely manner

  • Air freight recommendations

  • Management and publishing of seasonal MAP Policy

  • Monitor MAP compliance and complaints

  • Sample management

  • Seasonal sample orders

  • Manage Rep Sample accounts

  • Liquidation of company samples

  • Seasonal Sales Tools

  • Create and distribute price lists

  • Coordinate creation and distribution of buyers guides

  • Coordinate distribution of seasonal marketing assets

  • Communicate in-season price changes to Reps and NA Industry, market, customer and competitor analysis

  • Business development projects

Requirements:
Post Secondary degree in business or finance
Minimum of 5 years of industry experience in business, commercial businessunderstanding, and supply chain knowledge
Reliable, responsible, driven, self-starter and output oriented
Ability to work under pressure and take on a large workload at times
Solid business understanding and judgement
Analytical and structured with good attention to detail while understanding the bigpicture
Ability to cooperate, influence and support individuals across the organization
Leadership skills

Travel:
Local and international travel required

  3. The candidate preferably has work experience and good understanding of the
    wholesale and retail business model
  4. The candidate has excellent knowledge of Microsoft office tools, in particular Microsoft
    excel

    analyze and propose actions in a timely manner
  6. The candidate has commercial orientation and ability to add value and develop
    business and processes
  7. The candidate can make decisions, making the "Yes" and "No" calls, when needed, at
    times without full access to information and complete visibility
  8. The candidate executes fully and is result-driven, focus on getting the job despite
    obstacles and displays tireless positive energy - starting and finishing the day with
    the same enthusiasm
  9. The manager should show the ability to energize others (the team, colleagues, and
    the customers), getting them revved up, and inspire them to execute in the face of
    adversity.
