About the role
St. Thomas Aquinas Roman Catholic School Division is seeking an individual with strong soft skills to join our I.T. Team, based at the division office in Leduc, Alberta. This full time 40-hour per week position will commence on September 1, 2025.
Position Details: A technical position working under the guidance of the Director of Technology, involving the installation and configuration of computer hardware and software in twelve schools, and the division central office. You would help manage and maintain Windows Desktops and Laptops, as well as Chromebooks administered through Google Workspace. Other duties also involve troubleshooting and diagnosis of technical problems and the development and implementation of solutions to these problems.
Qualifications
- Completion of Grade 12 and a Post-Secondary Education in a computer-related technology or equivalent experience
- Excellent working knowledge of computerized hardware and software configurations
- Knowledge of Windows desktop operating systems and Windows Server
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate complicated technologies in simple to understand terms.
- Demonstrated ability to work as a team member with division technology staff as well as independently with minimal supervision.
- Willingness to assume Help Desk duties.
- Valid Class 5 Drivers License
- Additional assets include: Familiarity with TCP/IP technology, asset tracking and management experience, programming experience, Google Workspace & Office 365 experience, VOIP experience, and experience configuring wireless technologies.
