Your Opportunity:
We’re seeking a Clinical Nurse Educator (CNE) to join our team in the Cardiac/Coronary Care Unit (CCU). In this role, you’ll lead the development, coordination, and evaluation of educational initiatives that support excellence in cardiac nursing care. You’ll design and deliver learning programs based on adult education principles, ensuring staff remain current with clinical competencies, organizational standards, and best practices in cardiovascular care. From orientation to ongoing training, you’ll foster a culture of continuous learning and professional growth. Your focus will include identifying educational needs specific to high-acuity cardiac patients such as those with acute coronary syndromes, arrhythmias, and heart failure and aligning programs with legislative, quality, and organizational goals. As a mentor and resource, you’ll support nurses in building clinical expertise and confidence. You’ll also collaborate with leadership to implement quality improvement initiatives and support change management across the unit and broader healthcare system. As an Instructor, you will be an expert practitioner and key educator in support of both nursing staff and the multi-disciplinary clinical team. You will take a leadership role in the planning, coordination, implementation and evaluation of education for nursing staff including orientation, compulsory and continuing education, and clinical development. You will collaborate with management and internal partners to promote standards of clinical, educational and evidence informed practice. You will play a key role in providing safe, quality patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of AHS.

Required Qualifications:
Completion of an accredited nursing education program.
Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA).
Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:
3-5 years' experience within an ICU, CCU, Emergency Department, or complex cardiac care unit within the past 5 years.
Preferred Qualifications:
As required.
