SALARY: $63,375 - $96,946 per annum*
- The successful candidate with a Masters or PhD in a related field will receive an Educational Supplement of $2,850 or $5,700 per annum, respectively, pro-rated on an hourly basis.

DUTIES
Come join the Corporate Solutions Team as an Instructor!
The team works with organizations of all sizes to access the College’s knowledgeable and trusted subject-matter experts (SME) for custom and contract training solutions. The Corporate Solutions team recruits and works with Instructors (SME) on a variety of customized training projects each year ranging from delivering electric vehicle and building efficiency micro-credentials, organization specific project management, technology, leadership, community service programming, business, and workforce specific training. Many of the programs Corporate Solutions delivers mirror RRC Polytech’s academic programming, however, are delivered offsite and customized to meet the needs and priorities of our clients and partners. Corporate solutions also delivers programs that build healthcare and other (ECE, trades, etc.) workforce capacity for First Nations governments.
Reporting to the Manager, Business Development, the Instructor (SME) will develop and deliver online and/or on-campus courses that align with their knowledge and qualifications. Examples of Instructor qualifications (education, work experience, know how) that we are in need of include, but are not limited to: Apprenticeship Trades, Social Innovation, Truth & Reconciliation, Software / Technology, Engineering, Diagnostic Services, Education, Nursing, Leadership, Community Services and more.
As one of Corporate Solutions Instructors, you will create course content development, lesson plans, and assessments (e.g., case studies, quizzes) working alongside the RRC Polytech Instructional Design team and Academic departments and Instructional Design team. Course delivery duties include instructing content (virtual or in-person), running Skill labs, and Clinical placements/WIL placements, providing learners with feedback and support throughout the course, and grading assessments.

Ideal candidates will have a passion for supporting adult learning, strong communication skills and experience teaching in an online or blended learning environment and have a commitment to their own lifelong learning.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Post secondary diploma or degree (or relevant designation such a red seal designation, association certifications, etc.) related to the desired Instructor opportunity. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Several years experience working within the sector and/or area related to the Instructor opportunity.
- Experience working, mentoring, coaching and/or training adult learners of varying education and work experience.
- Experience working with various stakeholders both internally and externally to an organization.
- Experience providing leadership and guidance in small to large settings.
- Ability to work independently as well as in small to large group settings.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills (e.g., email communication, writing training content/job aides and instructional guides).
- Demonstrated ability to use conflict resolution techniques to collaborate and facilitate positive outcomes.
- Established ability to ensure work assignment adheres to organizational policies.
- Proven ability to work under pressure and be adaptable to changing priorities.
- Experience facilitating programming through various methods (e.g. in-person, virtual synchronous, asynchronous, etc.)
- Experience working in remote communities/settings.
- Experience work with and adapt ability to use learning tools and technologies associated with course delivery.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software (including Word, Excel, Outlook, Team, and PowerPoint).
- Experience building a respectful workplace culture that promotes diversity, learning and continuous improvement
ASSET QUALIFICATIONS
- Teaching and/or course development experience in a post-secondary environment
- Certificate in Adult Education (CAE), Teaching for Learning (TFL) or Technical Vocational Diploma
- Experience working with Indigenous communities and/or learners
- Higher Education in the desired Instructor opportunity (e.g. Masters, PhD, etc.)
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
- Applicants must be legally entitled to work in Canada
- This position may be required to work evenings and/or weekends
- This position may be required to travel
- This position may be required to work throughout the academic year including the summer months
- May be required to work at various RRC Polytech campuses
- Instructors are required to complete the Teaching for Learning (TFL) in Applied Education program or have previously completed the Certificate in Adult Education (CAE)
