About the role

Key Responsibilities:

The Product Manager is a key driver of the planning, purchasing, and inventory management for Live to Play Sports’ distributed brands. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing merchandising and purchasing plans for LTP’s distribution portfolio. The Product Manager is directly involved in establishing and achieving budgets and brand development strategies in collaboration with and reporting to the Manager, distributed brands. ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Product setup, purchasing, and inventory management from product launch to end of life.

  • Work with sales management and S&OP teams to establish demand planning and category forecasts.

  • Creating collaborative and profitable relationships with key suppliers. Negotiating with vendors.

  • Product costing and pricing analysis with goal of profitability and competitive position in the market.

  • Vendor negotiation and relationship management.

  • Provide brand training and support to internal stakeholders.

  • Achieve ROCE, COC, Profit Factor KPIs for assigned brands.

  • Management of online brand catalogues and promotional materials.

Applicant Should Possess:

  • 2-3 years’ experience in purchasing or inventory management.

  • Relevant education in inventory management, purchasing

  • Strong working knowledge of excel

  • Bicycle industry/product marketing experience.

  • Thorough understanding of the KPI drivers of inventory management such turns, margin, profit factor, ROCE, MOQ’s, etc.

  • Able to move between macro and micro details fluidly. Detail oriented.

  • Strong data analysis skills

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities within a high workflow

  • Ability to travel internationally a minimum of 2 weeks per year

Salary range 52,000-71,500 CAD
