About The Role Health Standards Organization (HSO) is seeking an Operations Lead to join our Operational Excellence team. The Operational Excellence team plays an integral role in supporting the Client and Assessment Services business unit by overseeing business unit operations, implementing new products, standardizing delivery processes, monitoring performance and quality, and providing oversight of the 'Leading Practices Program'.
Reporting to the Program Manager, Operational Excellence, the Operations Lead will lead and contribute to various projects, product launches and process improvement initiatives. You will collaborate closely with Client Engagement teams, Digital Services, Product Managers for the assessment programs, and other enterprise teams.
Main Responsibilities Project Management
- Oversee and execute projects with clear objectives, ensuring deliverables are met efficiently and effectively.
- Lead the implementation of new programs, products and features, ensuring seamless client transitions with a focus on value delivery.
- Implement effective project management frameworks, guiding teams in utilizing platforms such as SharePoint and Smartsheet to improve collaboration and execution.
Process Improvement
- Facilitate process enhancements efforts by critically assessing workflows and implementing innovative solutions to enhance efficiency.
- Lead quality improvement initiatives by refining tools, resources, and training to support client engagement teams.
- Drive initiatives that enhance business unit operations, optimize workflows, document management practices, and support enterprise-wide value delivery.
Must Have Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, project management, or a related field. An equivalent combination of work experience and education will be considered.
- 5+ years of progressive and varied experience in project management, process improvement, or operational excellence.
- Strong understanding of business operations and workflow optimization.
- Proficiency in project management tools such as SharePoint, Smartsheet, or similar platforms.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess and improve processes.
- Effective communication and presentation skills, with experience delivering training and resources to teams.
Desired Qualifications
- Project Management Professional (PMP), PROSCI or other relevant certification.
- Background in continuous improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma, lean or Agile practices.
- Bilingual in Canada’s Official Languages (French and English).
- Experience with accreditation or similar external assessment programs.
- Familiarity with change management principles and methodologies.
- Knowledge of performance and quality management best practices.
