We are looking for energetic, hardworking and experienced Cladders (journeyman, apprentices) for project work that will initially be in the Fort St John area followed by planned work in the Edmonton area.
Our Commercial Cladders work on world class projects with aggressive schedules and challenging designs. Some of our more recent projects include the National Music Center, Edmonton Airport Tower and Rocky Ridge Recreational Facility. JOB DESCRIPTION
Apprentices assist the Foreman and Journeymen Installers with the installation of cladding, clear debris from site, move materials and follow the direction of the Foreman. This is an entry level position with limited exposure to construction required.
Experienced Cladders and ACM Panel Installers and Cladders required for commercial projects. Position involves installation of vapor barrier, various types of insulation and cladding products including, sheet metal siding, standing seam roofing and various types of architectural paneling products including day lighting systems.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS (Experienced Cladders)

Install vapor barriers, insulation and complete insulated surfaces by applying various types of cladding and paneling

Follow the direction of the Foreman

Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites

Apply caulking and adhesives
-
Work with the production team to complete projects on time and on budget

Attend safety development courses such as WHMIS, Fall Protections, AWP, and CSTS
-
Safe operation of access equipment (scaffold systems, Aerial Work Platforms, Swing Stages), training provided if necessary

Understand and follow all company HSE policies and safe work procedures

Assist with the training of new cladders and labourers
-
Able to work in variable weather conditions

Able to lift between 10 to 60 pounds

Open and willing to work out of town

Other assigned projects as required
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- Journeyman or Apprentice status as Insulator/Sheeter/Cladder, equivalent experience will be considered
- Possession of the following safety tickets is an asset. Must be able to acquire.
o CSTS
o Fall Protection
o Aerial Work Platform (AWP)
KNOWLEDGE & SKILL REQUIREMENTS
- 3+ years’ experience installing in ACM panels or various cladding systems
- Preference will be given to candidates with experience working with phenolic materials.
- Ability to read and interpret Architectural drawings
- Ability to work at heights
- Operation of access equipment (scaffold systems, Aerial Work Platforms, Swing Stages)
- Experience with a variety of hand and power tools
- Physically fit and able to work on feet for 8-10 hours a day
Eligible candidates must be able to pass a pre-employment Drug & Alcohol test.
