Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Sushi Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and handling, particularly in the art of sushi making. As a Sushi Chef, you will be responsible for creating high-quality sushi dishes that meet our restaurant's standards while ensuring food safety and cleanliness in the kitchen.
Duties
- Prepare and assemble sushi rolls, sashimi, and other Japanese dishes with precision and creativity.
- Ensure all ingredients are fresh and properly stored to maintain quality.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, following strict food safety guidelines.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
- Assist in menu planning and development by providing input on new sushi offerings.
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and communicate needs to management.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations within the food service environment.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or in a similar role within the food industry is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of food handling techniques, food preparation methods, and kitchen operations.
- Familiarity with various types of sushi, ingredients, and Japanese cuisine is essential.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent teamwork skills with a commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
Requirement: We are looking for a committed individual who is seeking for a long-term, permanent position and is willing to stay with the company for at least 1-2 years.
