Aecon Mod Yard – Sherwood Park

Monday to Friday - 10 Hour Days with possible OT Weekends

Looking for Local Journeyman Insulators and 3rd Yr Insulators to work at the Aecon MOD Yard located near Sherwood Park. With strong Knowledge working with Stainless Steel and Polyurethane Insulation.

• Pipe Insulation and Cladding on industrial Modules

• Fabrication with Stainless Steel T316

• Knowledge working on PVC pipe

• Operating a break press along with other Power Tools

• Apply, remove and repair thermal and acoustical insulation (e.g. Polyurethane, calcium silicate, glass foam, mineral wool, Styrofoam, fiberglass, Armaflex) on all types of industrial equipment

• Read and interpret drawings and specifications to determine insulation requirements.

• Select the amount and type of insulation to be installed as well as a method of securing the insulation (e.g. pin welding, wiring, banding, taping) according to the type and shape of surface, whether or not the equipment is cold or hot, inside or outside, and what the equipment is going to be used for.

• Use of sheet metal equipment for custom SS Elbows/Cladding

• Measure and cut insulating material and coverings to the required shape and dimension, as well as fitting insulation around obstructions or shape insulation materials and protective coverings

• Performs all duties in accordance with the safety program standards of the Company and the Alberta Occupational Health and Safety Act, Regulations and Code;

• Performs other duties as required.
