Position
An Outside Sales Representative will sell the company’s products and services to achieve maximum sales profitability, growth and account infiltration by personally contacting and securing new business and expanding existing accounts/customers.
Working hours are Monday to Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm.
Job Description
Responsibilities of this role are listed below, but are not limited to the following:
· Establish, develop and grow existing and prospective customers through a relationship-based approach within an assigned territory which can be amended by the Sales Manager from time to time
· Cultivate customer relationships that ensure long term retention and future sales opportunity
· Research sources for developing prospective customers and actively pursue prospects.
· Expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints while managing expectations
· Ensure a balance between meeting and exceeding customer expectations and achieving business profitability
· Make telephone calls, conduct in-person visits and presentations to existing and prospective customers
· Identify and maximize all sales and market development opportunities while providing market intelligence to management.
· Provide technical and marketing support as well as coordinating sales effort with other departments and facilities
· Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements
Accountabilities of this role are listed below, but are not limited to the following:
· Producing and submitting reports, documentation (such as call reports, weekly appointment schedules, 12-week region rotation cycle, etc.) as directed and specified by the Sales Manager.
· A minimum of a college diploma or equivalent higher education is required.
· Reporting customer complaints to the Inventory/Quality specialist in a timely manner.
· Assisting in the resolution of customer issues as necessary.
· Achieving or succeeding monthly sales quotas as determined by the Sales Manager.
· Other accountabilities as communicated by the Sales Manager.
· Previous experience in the metal distribution industry is an asset.
