Job Overview
Polar Maxima is seeking a skilled Millwright with a strong background in precision mill-work to join our high-performance window and door manufacturing team. If you take pride in craftsmanship, detail, and finishing excellence, we’d love to hear from you. The ideal candidate will have a background in finishing carpentry or cabinetry and the ability to interpret schematics and blueprints. As a Millwright, you will be responsible for ensuring that all work meets high-quality standards and specifications. Your expertise will contribute to creating a new type of windows and doors that are aesthetically pleasing and structurally sound.
Responsibilities
- Interpret and work from schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to complete projects accurately.
- Manufacture and finish high-quality custom windows and doors with exceptional accuracy
- Perform detailed work on trim, casing, hardware, and gasket systems
- Ensure tight tolerances and clean aesthetics during all finishing tasks
- Inspect all final fits, joints, and seals to meet or exceed performance standards
- Handle finishing tools, sanding systems, and sealing products with care and consistency
- Collaborate with the team to resolve installation or finishing challenges efficiently
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-compliant work environment
- Perform heavy lifting as required for transporting materials and installing structures.
- Ensure all installations are plumb, level, and square according to specifications.
- Troubleshoot any issues that arise during the finishing process and propose effective solutions.
- Stay updated on industry trends, techniques, and best practices in carpentry.
Experience
- Proven experience as a carpenter with a focus on wood milling is preferred.
- Familiarity with CNC machinery is a plus for fabrication tasks.
- Strong knowledge of building materials, methods, and tools involved in the construction or repair of structures, windows and doors.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, learning ready attitude and attention to detail are essential for success in this role.
