Temporary Full-Time for approximately twelve (12) months
HOURS:
Approximately 75.0 Bi-weekly Hours
SHIFTS:
Days / Nights / Weekends
11.25 hours per shift (subject to change)
WAGE RANGE:
Scale Minimum Maximum
CUPE26 $33.83/hr $38.16/hr
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides comprehensive, quality patient and family centered care to meet the identified care needs of patients of varying complexity but with predictable outcomes and manageable responses.
- Has the knowledge, skill and judgment needed to provide safe, evidence-based nursing practice within his/her level of competency and comply with the College of Nurses of Ontario Standards, QCH Policies and Procedures, as well as the standards of care appropriate to his/her area of clinical practice.
- Demonstrate QCH values: collaboration, accountability, innovation, respect
REQUIREMENTS:
- Registered with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- RPN diploma
- Current BCLS
- Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
- Ability to understand, interpret and carry out verbal and written instructions in the English language
- Ability to work effectively within the nursing and inter-professional team
- Demonstrated computer competency
PREFERRED:
- One year of recent experience in an acute care setting
- Experience with clinical documentation in an Electronic Health Record
- Membership in RPNAO and associations related to nursing specialty
- Experience as preceptor
