Position Overview: The Medical Aesthetician is an autonomous and detail-oriented individual who is responsible for completing multiple aesthetic procedures under the direction of the medical director. Providing great customer service coupled with attention to detail will be important for success in the role.

The Medical Aesthetician is a skilled, detail-oriented professional responsible for performing aesthetic treatments within the clinic under the direction of the Medical Director. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, client-focused, and has experience in medical aesthetics. A strong understanding of cosmetic skincare procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to educate clients about treatments and skincare are essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

Treatment Delivery:

• Provide safe, effective cosmetic skin treatments within the scope of practice and clinic protocols
• Deliver services such as facials, chemical peels, IPL, microneedling, and other energy-based or manual treatments
• Take before/after photos and document treatment details accurately in client charts
• Maintain and calibrate aesthetic devices and treatment rooms
• Assist other providers with procedures when required

Client Care & Communication:

• Provide an exceptional client experience with a calm, confident, and professional manner
• Educate clients about treatments, aftercare, and expected outcomes
• Recommend skincare products appropriate to each client’s needs
• Collaborate with the client service team and participate in clinic meetings

Sales & Clinic Support:

• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of all treatments and skincare products offered by the clinic
• Work with manager to set and meet sales targets
• Support promotional initiatives and marketing campaigns
• Assist with front desk duties occasionally during busy times

Professional Qualifications and Experience:

• Aesthetician or Medical Aesthetician diploma and provincial licensing required
• 2+ years of experience in a medical spa or clinical aesthetic setting preferred
• Proficiency in treatments such as IPL, microneedling, facials, and chemical peels
• Excellent communication and time management skills
• Expertise with medical-grade skincare, consultations, and treatment planning
• Nursing background or laser technician certification considered an asset, but not required
• Sales, customer service, and hospitality experience considered an asset, but not required
