POSITION FUNCTION:
Under the direction of the Manager, the Audit Compliance and Quality Assurance Specialist (IELTS) is responsible for ensuring compliance with MOSAIC internal policies, British Council audit requirements, and quality standards, while supporting operational efficiency and risk mitigation through regular internal audits and continuous improvement initiatives.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Prepare the team for the British Council-mandated Program Test Day and Test Centre Management audits. These centres will evaluate the following at MOSAIC engage’s venues:
o Audit of client file management. Each file check reviews testing documentation, and audio files of clients speaking examinations.
o Observation of test day with notations taken on centre signage, material handling procedures, test delivery protocols, staff knowledge, and dress.
o Full audit of site security, back-end organization, and material storage.
o Check all employee documentation to ensure all staff have the qualifications needed to complete their role. -
Prepare the team for spot audits regarding customer service that the British Council periodically conducts.

Identify non-compliance issues or operational risks, recommend corrective actions, and follow up on implementation.

Collaborate with the IELTS coordinator and Assessment Manager to help test day staff, examiners, and back-office teams for continuous improvement in their compliance.

Develop and implement quality control checklists and audit tools designed specifically for IELTS test delivery, ensuring alignment with MOSAIC and IELTS delivery standards.

Stay updated with IELTS and Cambridge Assessments standards, changes, and compliance expectations.

Provide guidance and training to staff to improve compliance and quality standards.

Prepare detailed Quarterly/ annual audit and QA reports, track follow-ups, and assist in implementing corrective and preventative measures.

Must be available for spot audits conducted by testing partners at different testing locations.
QUALIFICATIONS:
-
Post-secondary degree, diploma, or certificate in business management, computer science, or quality management and/or relevant experience or coursework in mathematics, statistics, auditing, and quality testing.

Experience or knowledge of British Council and Audit Observation Document

One to two years of experience in a similar role

Experience working with new immigrants and/or comparable education or other program, project or focus

Strong analytical skills

HOURS: full-time position, 35 hours per week. Must be available to work on weekends.
This position is eligible for a one-year, fixed-term contract.
The successful candidates must be able to commute to all IELTS testing locations at least once per quarter. Primary work location is in Surrey Newton at 200-7134 King George Blvd. Surrey, British Columbia V3W 5A3.
BENEFITS:
A competitive benefits package is provided with contracts of at least 1 year in length and which offer a minimum of 17.5 hours of work per week.

QUALIFICATIONS:
