Position Summary As a Product Champion at Savaria, you will play a key role in ensuring product quality, managing lifecycle improvements, and driving collaboration between R&D, production, sales, customer service, and technical support. You will be the go-to expert for a designated set of products and act as a liaison across internal teams to champion continuous improvement, manage custom orders, and support product launches across Savaria’s suite of accessibility and mobility solutions.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for product-related quality issues; identify trends and coordinate root cause analysis and corrective actions
- Track, log, and manage product improvements and field issues using Smartsheet or other internal tools
- Collaborate with R&D to support and oversee product launches from concept to market
- Liaise with various operations across all Savaria-owned facilities to align on quality control and inventory optimization
- Recommend design and process enhancements based on internal performance data and customer feedback
- Manage and review custom order requests to ensure feasibility and compliance with product standards
- Work closely with Sales, Engineering, Technical Support, Production, and Customer Service to ensure consistent product performance and satisfaction
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of product specifications, improvements, and field applications
- Contribute to the Engineering Change Order (ECO) process when applicable
- Work directly with shopfloor staff to identify root causes of production issues and implement corrective actions; provide on-the-job training as needed
- Support design reviews and product development using CAD tools such as SolidWorks and AutoCAD
- Create, validate, and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) to ensure product accuracy and alignment with production capabilities, particularly in terms of proper allocation and consumption

- Post-secondary education in Engineering, Product Management, or related technical discipline
- Passionate about product quality and customer experience
- Strong interpersonal and cross-functional communication skills
- Experience in product lifecycle management, preferably in manufacturing or accessibility products
- Proactive problem-solver with a continuous improvement mindset
- Proficient in tools such as Smartsheet, Excel, and ERP systems (SAP, D365, etc.)
- Hands-on experience with CAD tools, including SolidWorks and AutoCAD
- 3+ years of experience in product management, engineering support, or quality assurance
