Job Description

• Prepare financial statements and reports for multiple companies,

• Record month end adjustments and prepare working papers for various entities,

• Assistance with preparation and filing GST and PST returns,

• Post cash entries, manage bank and AR deposits and prepare monthly bank reconciliations,

• Support accounts receivable invoicing, accounts payable processing and payment execution (cheques, electronic fund transfers and wire transfers),

• Conduct credit card reconciliations and accurately code associated receipts,

• Compile and record data for cost entry purposes,

• Fulfill other accounting or administrative obligations as necessary,

• Adhere to all company policies and procedures

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in a similar accounting role and a solid understanding of accounting principles

• Minimum 40 hours per week Monday to Friday, must be flexible and willing to work overtime

• Working knowledge of computerized accounting software (Sage Suite, and Sage 50 preferred)

• Accuracy, attention to detail, and confidentiality

• Multi-tasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks

• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word)

• Must be able to type and perform data entry

• Excellent organizational skills

• A positive, friendly attitude with the ability to work in a team environment

• Proficient in both verbal and written English communication

• Local to or willing to relocate to Central Alberta

Assets

• Post-secondary education in accounting.
