About the role

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • To come to work with a positive, professional approach and attitude.
  • To be dependable for all scheduled shifts.
  • To provide outstanding courteous customer service.
  • To ensure proper meat preparation is achieved and maintained, such as traying, wrapping, and pricing to Meat Department standards.
  • To ensure that the fresh case, frozen case, smoked case and all spot and island merchandisers are filled and merchandised to Meat Department standards.
  • When assigned, to be responsible for the receiving, inspecting and storage of merchandise.
  • To adhere to association policies and procedures relating to the maintenance, sanitation, and safety of all association assets.
  • To assist in the preparation of instore made products such as sausage and hamburger patties.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must have strong interpersonal skills and enjoy working with the public.
  • Must be available for work a variety of shifts including weekends (8-12 hours/week)
  • Must have the desire to learn and perform duties with minimum supervision after training period has been completed
  • Energetic, upbeat nature
  • Must be bondable
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs
