Principal Engineer, Quality & Test Job Location: Vancouver, BC, CA (Richmond Area)
Job Compensation: Total package up $380k! (Base $140-180k + bonus + very generous stock options)
Requirements: MUST have experience with a mature, world class QA organization!
Position Overview The Principal Engineer, Quality & Test will play a critical leadership role in building and scaling a world-class quality assurance function to match our already mature and high-performing engineering organization. This is a greenfield opportunity for a hands-on quality leader to define strategy, establish best practices, and implement robust testing frameworks that ensure our enterprise SaaS products meet the highest standards of reliability and performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of test automation frameworks for enterprise products.
- Develop and execute quality testing strategies for B2B software and cloud-native products.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate CI/CD pipelines for streamlined development processes.
- Ensure scalable testing methodologies are applied throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Mentor and guide junior engineers in quality assurance best practices and test automation techniques.
- Analyze and improve existing testing processes to enhance product quality and reduce time to market.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- MUST have strong experience with a mature/world class QA team.
- 10+ years of experience in software quality assurance and testing, with a focus on enterprise products
- Strong knowledge of test automation architecture and frameworks.
- Experience with cloud-native products and scalable testing solutions.
- Proficiency in CI/CD integration and tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
