We currently have an opening for a Project Manager, Research and Development Engineering, come grow with us!
Reporting to the Director, Research and Development, this position will be responsible to oversee research and development projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and meet the company's quality standards. This role requires strong project management skills, excellent communication abilities, and the capacity to work collaboratively with various departments.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams across engineering, sales, manufacturing, and R&D.
- Oversee and manage R&D projects from concept through to production.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and timelines.
- Monitor project progress, performance, and deliverables to ensure alignment with scope and objectives.
- Prepare and present project status reports to stakeholders.
- Directly manage project resources and ensure deliverables are met within defined scope.
- Support product management by aligning project timelines with product roadmaps.
- Coordinate production and testing schedules within project scope.
- Facilitate industrialization planning and execution.
- Collaborate with engineering designers to define work objectives and develop schedules.
Do you qualify? We are seeking:
- 6+ years of Project Management experience supporting a technical team
- Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related technical field – required
- Scrum Master Certification – preferred
- Certifications:
- PMP (Project Management Professional) – required
- Scrum Master Certification – preferred
- Proven experience in cross-functional collaboration and project leadership.
- Familiarity with stage-gate processes and product development cycles.
- Knowledge of manufacturing innovation and commercialization of technical products.
- Strong risk management, resource planning, and timeline optimization skills.
- Ability to make data-driven decisions using collaborative tools.
- Strategic thinking and effective communication in team environments.
- Understanding of power electronics, magnetics, and transformer systems.
- Awareness of emerging technologies such as:
- Solid-state conversion
- Medium-frequency drives
- AI applications in engineering
- Ability to balance core product innovation with commercialization of transformational solutions.
