Are you a talented and detail-oriented Design Draftsperson ready to take your career to the next level? We’re looking for an Intermediate Design Draftsperson (1-year Contract) to join our dynamic team at our Cambridge, ON facility.

What You’ll Do As an Intermediate Design Draftsperson, you’ll work closely with our Project Engineering and Manufacturing Engineering teams to:

  • Develop innovative designs, CAD models, sketches, and detailed drawings.
  • Manage material requisitions and coordinate drawing structures using SAP.
  • Deliver high-quality graphics, layouts, and models aligned with form, fit, and function.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including customers, vendors, and sales offices.
  • Contribute to drafting standards and CAD enhancement tools to improve processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create complex solid models, proposal drawings, and sketches.
  • Prepare detailed layouts, sketches, and designs with minimal supervision.
  • Check and review the work of peers for accuracy and compliance.
  • Provide technical guidance to junior team members.
  • Support other departments and perform related office duties as needed.

What We’re Looking For To succeed in this role, you should bring:

  • Experience: 3+ years in a similar role, showcasing technical competence.
  • Education: Accreditation from a technical school, Engineering Technologist certification, or equivalent.

Skills

  • Proficiency in 3D parametric CAD software and 2D drafting standards.
  • Knowledge of drafting methods and GD&T principles.
  • Strong ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines.

The base salary range for this position in [[Ontario]] at the start of employment is expected to be between $[[68,000]] and $[[96,000]] per year. However, the base salary offered is based on local job market factors and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to these considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as an annual cash incentive in addition to a full range of medical, retirement, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided at such time the selected job candidate receives an offer of employment.
