THE ROLE This is a dynamic, field-based position supporting operations at a key industrial client site. In this role, you'll be responsible for inventory control, performance reporting, and refractory support, while also assisting with on-site equipment maintenance. You’ll play a critical part in ensuring smooth operations by managing data, monitoring key performance indicators, and maintaining accurate inventory records using ERP tools.
The ideal candidate is bilingual (French/English), mechanically inclined, and comfortable working in heavy industrial environments. This role offers a unique opportunity to be hands-on while building strong relationships with both internal teams and customer personnel. Travel between Montreal and Hawkesbury is required, and candidates must have access to a personal vehicle. Occasional international travel (e.g., to Europe) may be required.

Responsibilities
- Manage on-site inventory and maintain web-based inventory systems
- Coordinate product ordering, inbound logistics, and demand planning
- Support equipment maintenance and basic electrical/mechanical troubleshooting
- Monitor and report on monthly KPIs, site performance, and maintenance activity
- Advise and support on refractory usage and application concerns
- Maintain customer-facing communication and assist with technical and sales support
- Contribute to continuous improvement and assist in CPP result meetings
- Ensure adherence to all safety standards in a heavy industrial environment
Qualifications
- Bilingual in French and English (required)
- Background in industrial environments, with hands-on experience in mechanical/electrical maintenance
- Engineering degree or technical certification is an asset
- Prior experience in the steel or refractory industry is a strong asset
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills; ability to work with unionized and non-unionized teams
- Comfortable with data tracking and analysis; familiarity with MS Office and SAP preferred
- Valid driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle
- Cleared background and valid passport
- Open to flexible schedules, on-call rotation, and occasional international travel
