We are a building supply and project centre providing project providing contractors and do-it yourself builders with the tools, materials, design, and construction services to support projects of any scale.

We are seeking a dedicated and detail – orientated Human Resources (HR) Clerk to join our team and support our human resources department in various administrative and operational tasks. The ideal candidate will be responsible for a wide range of payroll and HR functions, ensuring the smooth operations of HR and payroll processes and ultimately, contribute to the overall success of the organization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for:
- Assist with the preparation and processing of bi-weekly payroll
- Ensure timesheets and attendance records are collected, reviewed, and submitted accurately and on time.
- Track employee vacation, sick time, and other leave balances
- Respond to employee inquiries related to payroll, benefits, and statutory deductions
- Support job postings and advertising across various platforms (internal, external, and social media)
- Screen resumes and coordinate interview scheduling between applicants and hiring managers
- Assist with employment letters, reference checks, and pre-employment documentation
- Support new hire onboarding, including preparing welcome materials and ensuring all required paperwork is completed
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date recruitment and onboarding files
- Maintain HR records and personnel files with a high degree of accuracy and confidentiality
- Support the coordination of employee training, meetings, and other HR initiatives
- Assist in compiling HR metrics, reports, and compliance-related tracking
- Other assigned duties as required.
The ideal candidate will have:
- A minimum of 1-3 years experience in an HR Support role, with hands-on experience in payroll and recruitment.
- Experience with payroll systems (ex. ADP, Payworks, Ceridian, etc.)
- Strong organizational skills, and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to demonstrate professionalism and integrity including the ability to maintain confidentiality, handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
