About the role

We are seeking a Medical Office Assistant with experience or prior training/schooling.

Multi-tasking, prioritizing, flexibility, accuracy and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment are strong assets. Computer skills are required. We are looking for someone with a positive attitude who is compassionate and friendly, and someone who works well within a team. Punctuality and reliability are essential in this position.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Holter monitor appointments
  • Programming, downloading, and cleaning holter monitors
  • Scheduling appointments
  • Data entry
  • Managing faxes and other documents
  • EMR system (iClinic), Meditech
  • Limited billing
  • Sharing in various tasks within the MOA group

Only candidates selected for interview will be contacted. We offer a competitive starting wage. Eligible for extended benefits after probation for full-time employees. Training provided.

Office hours are Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm. No overtime required. Located near Kelowna General Hospital, but not a position within Interior Health.
