**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a dedicated Repairs/Custodian/Maintenance person to join our team. The perfect candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness, order and repairs within our facilities through various tasks.

**Responsibilities:**

• Perform general cleaning tasks such as dusting, mopping, sweeping, and vacuuming

• Clean and sanitize all areas including classrooms and restrooms and replenish supplies

• Empty trash receptacles and transport waste to disposal areas

• Maintain cleanliness of common areas including hallways, lobbies, and break rooms

• Perform minor maintenance tasks such as but not limited to; changing light bulbs, minor repairs, yard maintenance, putting furniture/equipment together etc

• Repair items and areas around the childcare centre as per demand via submitted work orders

• General handyman duties such as painting, building modifications, etc

• Follow cleaning schedules and ensure all areas are cleaned in a timely manner

**Qualifications:**

• Previous experience in facilities maintenance or commercial cleaning is preferred

• Ability to maintain a high level of cleanliness and attention to detail

• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies used in commercial settings

• Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy objects, and perform repetitive tasks

• Must have own tools, reliable vehicle and repairs knowledge and experience.

• Presentable, clean and groomed appearance a must

• Strong work ethic and the ability to work independently or as part of a team

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.50 per hour

• Repairs & Maintenance: 5 years (preferred)
