In this multifaceted role, you'll be at the heart of operations, taking and preparing orders with precision, handing various forms of payments, and ensuring the seamless flow of publications to clients.
About the job
In this role, you will:
- receive and track all client orders for publications.
- process and fill client orders received.
- provide customer service and process payments for client orders.
- package publications and ship client orders by mail or courier.
- process and sort incoming/outgoing mail.
What you bring to the team
Communication and organizational skills:
You have:
- effective oral and written communication skills to deal with internal and external clients.
- organizational skills to provide efficient client services, set work priorities to ensure delivery deadlines are met
Computer and cash handling skills:
- you have computer skills and are proficient with Office suite programs.
- you can operate a cash register and credit/debit card machines.
Analytical Skills:
You can:
- identify and sort outgoing mail while ensuring that mail items meet shipping standards.
- verify destination for courier shipments, reroute misaddressed mail as needed.
- perform duties independently while using sound judgment and can work with minimal supervision.
Knowledge:
You can obtain knowledge of:
- the Mines and Minerals Division basic programs.
- shipping options (time frames, cost, etc.) and help clients make informed decisions.
- courier company policies and guidelines.
