About the role

Zaber is looking for a talented CNC Machinist to program, set up, and operate our machines. You will produce high-quality aluminum and steel components for our innovative positioning devices. This role is a great opportunity to apply your problem-solving skills to interesting manufacturing challenges.

It's an exciting time to join our team, as we've recently expanded into a new space and purchased new equipment. You will have the support of talented senior machinists to grow your technical abilities and advance your career. You will collaborate with your colleagues in the shop, as well as with our engineering, production, and purchasing teams.

This position is key to Zaber's success and supports many company functions. You will help build new prototypes for future products and machine custom components for specific customer needs. Your work directly contributes to building the innovative products we provide to our customers.

As a CNC Machinist, you will:

  • Set up and operate CNC mills and lathes to produce parts to tight tolerances.
  • Write, edit, and prove out new CNC programs for production runs.
  • Troubleshoot issues and contribute to improving our machining processes.
  • Collaborate with the design team to clarify part specifications.
  • Inspect parts using precision measuring tools to ensure quality standards.

You’re the ideal CNC Machinist if you have:

  • 3+ years of experience in machining, plus formal machinist education.
  • Proficiency with engineering drawings, tolerances, and precision measuring tools.
  • Desire to be a strong contributor to a highly productive team.
  • Good computer and communication skills.

CNC Machinist Wage:

  • The starting wage for the role is $28 - $40/hour depending on experience.
