Why This Role, Why Now

7Gen is entering a new phase of growth. With product-market fit confirmed and a significant market share of EV assets deployed across Canada, the organization is expanding its commercial team to drive new customer acquisition and scale the go-to-market function. The Account Executive will be joining at a pivotal moment, building on early traction and helping shape how 7Gen grows its market presence.

This role will be based in Vancouver.

The Role

The Account Executive will own the full sales cycle, from prospecting through close, for a defined set of territories. Reporting to the VP, Sales, the AE will identify high-potential fleet customers, educate them on 7Gen’s integrated offering, and guide them through a complex, multi-stakeholder sales process.

This role will focus on solution-based selling across small to medium-sized businesses (SMBs) to large corporate clients, including owner operators and third party logistics businesses, private fleet operators, and purpose-driven commercial buyers. Sales cycles will vary in length, and require a high degree of consultative engagement and coordination with technical, operations, and finance stakeholders.

The AE will focus specifically on the electrification of commercial fleets, with an emphasis on bundled solutions that include vehicles, infrastructure, and service.

This role will work closely with 7Gen’s Sales Development Representatives (SDRs),Business Development Representatives (BDRs), RevOps Manager, Marketing Manager, and beyond, collaborating on pipeline development strategies, outbound campaigns, and lead qualification. The AE will be responsible for nurturing qualified opportunities from the SDR/BDR team, advancing them through the funnel, and converting them to signed customers.

  • You’re collaborating seamlessly with the SDR/BDR team to drive targeted campaigns and prioritize warm leads that align with 7Gen’s ideal customer profile.
  • You’re ensuring smooth and timely post-sale handoffs to Operations and Infrastructure Delivery teams, recognizing that 7Gen’s bundled offering includes vehicles, charging systems, and technical implementation.
  • You bring clarity to your contributions and work well within the frameworks in place to ensure things move forward smoothly

The Opportunity Ahead

This is a builder role. 7Gen is still building its sales infrastructure. Systems like HubSpot are in place but evolving. Sales enablement is still being built out. The Account Executive is someone who recognizes opportunity in the early-stage motion and wants to help shape how things are done.

This role sits within a high-accountability sales environment where deals often move quickly, especially during sales campaigns. Success looks like confidently managing multiple concurrent opportunities while staying grounded in structured CRM practices and collaborating seamlessly across sales, operations, and infrastructure, operations, and infrastructure teams.

Who We’re Looking For

  • You have experience in B2B solution-based sales, ideally with short sales cycles of 1-2 months (sometimes even just weeks) along with consultative sales cycles ranging from 3–12 months.
  • You’ve sold to multiple decision-makers and can navigate organizations with both technical and financial buyers.
  • You are comfortable with quotas and have demonstrated success in high-velocity sales environments.
  • You thrive in a culture of performance, accountability, and collaboration, and you understand how to execute clean handoffs to technical delivery teams.
  • You enjoy finding clarity in complexity and are energized by early-stage environments.
  • You’ve worked in sustainability, cleantech, fleet, or SaaS, or you can translate your experience into those spaces.
  • You have a commercial mindset, strong communication skills, and follow-through. You’re accountable to your numbers and your process.
  • You are looking for a purpose-driven team and a chance to help shape how an industry evolves.

Where This Role Can Lead

The AE will play a key role in shaping 7Gen’s GTM structure. As the team scales, this role could evolve into a senior enterprise sales role or a leadership position managing other AEs, sales enablement, or strategic accounts.

Compensation

This role offers a base salary of $85,000 to $100,000, depending on experience, along with a high-upside commission structure designed to reward performance, ownership, and results.

Compensation is intentionally structured to reflect the pace, complexity, and impact of the sales environment. While there is no cap on earnings, top performers can expect to exceed base salary through deal-driven commissions.
