We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Intermediate Accountant to join our finance team, supporting the accounting operations related to our international freight forwarding services. This role offers hands-on experience with global transactions, vendor reconciliations, and client billing processes. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in recording daily transactions related to freight forwarding operations
- Reconcile vendor statements and verify international freight and customs charges
- Prepare and send invoices to clients; follow up on outstanding payments
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities
- Maintain accurate and organized financial records in compliance with company policies
- Assist in processing accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Work closely with operations teams to resolve discrepancies in billing and charges
- Support internal audits and assist in financial reporting as needed
- Maintain confidentiality.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree/diploma in Accounting or Finance.

Minimum of 3 years of experience and 1 year of full-cycle experience.

Strong understanding of basic accounting principles

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar)

Experience working in Cargo Wise is an asset.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset

Experience or interest in international trade/logistics is a plus

Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
