We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Intermediate Accountant to join our finance team, supporting the accounting operations related to our international freight forwarding services. This role offers hands-on experience with global transactions, vendor reconciliations, and client billing processes. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist in recording daily transactions related to freight forwarding operations
• Reconcile vendor statements and verify international freight and customs charges
• Prepare and send invoices to clients; follow up on outstanding payments
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities
• Maintain accurate and organized financial records in compliance with company policies
• Assist in processing accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Work closely with operations teams to resolve discrepancies in billing and charges
• Support internal audits and assist in financial reporting as needed
• Maintain confidentiality.
• Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree/diploma in Accounting or Finance.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience and 1 year of full-cycle experience.

• Strong understanding of basic accounting principles

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar)

• Experience working in Cargo Wise is an asset.

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset

• Experience or interest in international trade/logistics is a plus

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Professional approach to customer service and vendor relations.
