- Work direction from the Lead Hand and Production Supervisor
- Blends crude and filters product
- Drives forklift
- Blends finished product to specification
- Loads and unloads bulk material
- Cleans and flushes vessels in sequencing products
- Packages waste materials
- Assists with shunting tank cars
- Drums finished product
- Maintains plant housekeeping
- Drum Product staging and shipping
- Other related responsibilities
Requirements
- The incumbent should have as a minimum Grade 12 Diploma including Chemistry, recognized equivalent or post-secondary education in a laboratory or chemical discipline.
- Oral and written proficiency in English and Math is essential. The incumbent should ideally have a proven record of experience with computer-based systems, such as SAP (or similar), email, spreadsheets, etc.
- The ability to work independently, organize and prioritize tasks is essential.
- Previous work experience in a chemical or industrial facility is preferred.
- Knowledge of Management systems, e.g. ISO 9001, ISO 14001, would be an advantage.
- Previous experience using a forklift would be an advantage.
- Good housekeeping and self-driven work habits are essential.
- Good attendance and safety record.
- Ability to effectively work as part of a team.
- Must be flexible to take on new duties as required; take initiative to solve problems; and take ownership of the outcome of their work.
