About the Role:

As an Instructional Designer, you will be the creative powerhouse behind our suite of eLearning courses. From meeting with subject matter experts to publishing your creations in our LMS, you'll be the architect turning bold ideas into impactful learning experiences!

As an Instructional Designer, you will:

  • Design and develop course content and materials for various delivery formats, including eLearning, hybrid, and classroom-based training

  • Provide eLearning guidance, consultative services, and liaise with key stakeholders and subject matter experts to develop course specifications that align with organizational goals

  • Analyze learner needs, delivery environments, and target audience to identify appropriate instructional strategies for adult learners

  • Create learning assets such as guides, videos, audio, simulations, games, and other interactive media

  • Create and customize supporting documents and manuals related to training and development courses and initiatives

  • Support external or freelance eLearning developers on the production team by clarifying instructional strategies/goals to ensure outcomes are met at every stage

  • Research best practices related to learning for design, delivery, and implementation improvements

  • Educate and mentor peers on the use of the LMS and course authoring tools

  • Support learners with the enrollment and certification process for each eLearning program

  • Assist learners and other departments with troubleshooting within the LMS

What you’ll bring:

  • Certificate, Diploma, or Degree in curriculum development, instructional design, UX/UI design, or equivalent required.
  • Experience with Articulate Storyline 360 and Adobe Creative Suite (especially Adobe Illustrator) is required
  • Graphic design experience or education would be considered an asset.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience working in an instructional design or UX/UI design role required (Combination of relevant experience and related education may be considered)
  • Knowledge of occupational health and safety is an asset
  • French language skills are considered a strong asset, but are not required
  • Proven ability to take initiative, work independently, and manage multiple project deliverables and deadlines
  • Proven organizational skills, high level of detail orientation, and ability to multitask and prioritize conflicting deadlines
  • Knowledge of adult learning and instructional design theory, and best practices
  • Commitment to accessible and inclusive design
  • Familiarity with AI, digital learning tools, and current learning trends
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
