Job Summary:

We are looking for Aircraft Structural Assembly Fitters to join our Manufacturing Department. The ideal candidate will have experience working with both pre-fabricated and composite materials, be skilled in reading blueprints, and have a strong understanding of assembly techniques. This position plays a key role in ensuring our parts and assemblies meet all customer specifications and quality standards.

This role supports the Manufacturing department’s success by assembling precision aerospace components using various tools, techniques, and measuring equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble parts and components to exact drawing dimensions and customer specifications.
  • Work with a variety of materials, including both pre-fabricated and composite components.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical documents.
  • Use a wide range of hand and power tools to perform precise fitting and assembly tasks.
  • Operate measuring instruments such as verniers, scales, micrometers, and other precision tools to verify part accuracy.
  • Ensure all work meets quality and safety standards as defined by customer and company requirements.
  • Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, and other Production team members to resolve issues and ensure smooth workflow.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with company safety and housekeeping standards.
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities to enhance production efficiency and product quality.
  • Adhere to company policies, safety protocols, and production schedules.

Qualifications/Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience in mechanical assembly or fitting, preferably in a manufacturing or aerospace environment.- preferred but not required
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Proficiency with hand tools and measuring instruments such as verniers, micrometers, and scales.
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on producing high-quality work.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively across departments.
  • Knowledge of safety practices and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
  • Additional technical training or certification in mechanical assembly or manufacturing is an asset.
