About the role

This posting will be used to fill 1 permanent full-time position working 75-hours bi-weekly. The eligibility list for this position may also be used to fill anticipatory permanent or temporary positions over the next 12 months.

The opportunity…

The Finance branch in the Yukon Liquor Corporation is looking for a motivated, detail-oriented person to join our team of professionals. If you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment where multiple priorities and frequent interruptions are the norm, we would like to hear from you!

The Accounting Clerk is responsible for maintaining vendor files and unit files, providing administrative support. This position also assists internal and external clients by providing information on payments, assisting other units in resolving outstanding invoices, performing all payment functions, and is responsible for the daily balancing and monthly reconciliations of the Accounts Payable Ledger.

Essential Qualifications

  • Business Administration Certificate or Diploma, Accounting Clerk Certificate or related field;
  • Experience with accounting functions in a computerized setting such as SAGE, QuickBooks, FMIS, Quest, Front End and Microsoft applications such as Excel;
  • Experience processing financial transactions and performing reconciliations.

Candidates who have education, training, and/or experience equivalent to the essential qualifications listed above may be equally considered.
