Youth Ministry Coordinator
Position Type: Temporary, 1 year mat leave coverage, part-time (20hrs/week)
Location: 17504 98a Ave NW, Edmonton AB
Position Summary
The Youth Ministry Coordinator is responsible for ministering to junior high and high school students by strategically coordinating youth programs that cultivate a disciple-making culture. This role works alongside the youth team, led by the youth pastors, to help students know Jesus, grow in faith, and engage in mission.
Role responsibilities:
Youth Ministry Development
- Support the vision and implementation of disciple-making among youth.
- Assist in planning and executing weekly programs, events, retreats, and outreach initiatives.
- Build relationships with students and connect them to the life of the youth community.
- Oversee Youth Alpha in High Schools.
- Provide and support the Youth Pastor in pastoral care for students.
General Responsibilities
- ·Contribute to a thriving, growing, and Christ-centered West Campus culture.
- ·Partner with Youth Pastors in stewarding ministry plans and budgets effectively.

- Strong project management, systems-thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and public speaking abilities with young audiences.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
- Able to manage multiple tasks and achieve deadlines under pressure.
- Willing and able to work at a fast pace within a variety of settings and circumstances, with composure and flexibility.
Qualifications:
- 3 years of experience in ministry, preferably in Youth.
- OR Diploma (2 years min) from a credible Biblical Institution.
- Valid driver's license and vehicle.
- Candidates must be legally eligible to work in Canada before being hired.
