Both positions are located in Northern Manitoba, with Cranberry Portage located approximately 716 km north of Winnipeg, and The Pas is located approximately 625 km north of Winnipeg.

Qualifications:

Essential:

  • Experience performing administrative and/or clerical duties, which may include but are not limited to: reception, answering phones, records management, filing, data entry, etc.
  • Experience working with the public and providing customer service to a diverse clientele
  • Experience performing accounting transactions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations and/or creating financial reports
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work as part of a team
  • Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to provide information in a clear and concise manner
  • Excellent written communication skills with the ability to prepare, edit and format correspondence with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Experience interpreting and applying policies and/or procedures

Desired:

  • Completion of a Business Administration and/or Accounting Diploma or Certificate. A combination of related education, training and experience may be considered
  • Experience working with SAP (Financial Module) or an equivalent financial management software
  • Experience in processing payroll and timekeeping

Duties:

  • Processing financial transactions (Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable) and maintaining accurate financial records
  • Preparing and processing invoices, receipts, and payments
  • Timekeeping entries, payroll-related support;Acting as a financial clerical liaison/resource for branch/division staff, i.e., responding to inquiries and resolving financial issues
  • Maintaining confidential financial information and records
  • Providing other clerical/administrative support as required
