About the role

Hybrid Schedule - 3 days in office

Playing a critical role in supporting the firm’s growth, the Senior Advisor – Marketing Projects will project manage and oversee the implementation from start to finish of various tactics identified in the firms strategic marketing plans such as events, virtual seminars, content, email marketing and sponsorship branding and visibility.

The successful candidate will be creative, goal-oriented and a strong project manager. They will have demonstrated excellence in communication and organizational skills, thoroughness/attention to detail and time management. Strong interpersonal skills and relationship management skills are also essential as the position is often in direct communication with both internal and external clients. They will be versatile in their role and have a broad range of skills and knowledge across various disciplines.

You will be focussing on :

  • Plan and develop project scope of client facing marketing initiatives
  • Collaborate with internal clients to develop innovative solutions from scoping, conceptualization, production, quality assurance to final launch
  • Provide direction and give feedback to colleagues and suppliers while leading the planning and execution of initiatives
  • Populate campaign process tools including critical paths, program budgets, run sheets and post-mortem analyses
  • Monitor project progress, set deadlines and overcome obstacles that arise
  • Assist in monitoring expenses and achieving all budget requirements
  • Prepare feedback surveys and reports as required and work closely with the digital team to showcase project performance
  • Negotiate services, review contracts, and maintain strong relationships with key vendors and agencies
  • Ensure compliance with firm policies, communication policies, procedures and brand standards
  • Maintain effective relationships with vendors and ensure all invoice payments are processed accordingly
  • Ensure stakeholder satisfaction and valuate project performance
  • Support content creation through copywriting and promotional activities
  • Compose, build and send event invitations via Vuture, our email marketing software
  • Attend regional in-person events, seminars and receptions to ensure that clients and guests are greeted and that the logistics and details of the event are followed through seamlessly
  • Prepare event RSVP reports
  • Ensure all marketing initiatives adhere to best practices

What you bring to the role:

  • Relevant degree in business, marketing, communications or related field

  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in event project management

  • Well-developed project management and leadership skills

  • Ability to interact with a wide range of stakeholders and professionals

  • Leadership, organizational, operational, negotiation and team-management skills

  • Proficient in most document management systems and CRM databases, including InterAction and Vuture (email software)

  • Strong data analytical skills; an aptitude for numbers to showcase performance

  • Strong communication skills, both internal and external

  • Experience solving complex problems through creative problem-solving in a team-based environment

  • Organized and able to handle multiple initiatives at different stages simultaneously, in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment

  • Positive attitude and approach to each task

  • Ability to initiate action and work both independently and in a team environment

  • Active listener to hear and understand opportunities and challenges

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Possess collaborative and superior relationship-building skills

  • Flexibility in scheduling work hours to accommodate the timing of events, which may include early mornings, evenings and weekends. Occasional travel required.

  • Bilingual would be considered a strong asset but not a requirement
